An elephant trunk is not only useful for drinking and grasping objects, but as a novel tool for painting.

Five, a 16-year-old Africa elephantat West Midland Safari Park in Bewdley, Worcestershire, has created more than 50 works of art since she first scooped up a brush.

She is one of three African Elephants that were re-homed from a private elephant orphanage in South Africa in 1998, when they were five years old.

Her keepers say she seems to enjoy every minute creating her masterpieces, and paints in a unique style that would not look out of place in any contemporary art exhibition.
