Tenor Luciano Pavarotti in "serious condition"

Tenor Luciano Pavarotti, 71, is in "very serious" condition after his health deteriorated. The opera star, who has pancreatic cancer, is receiving treatment at his home... Please everyone pray for Luciano.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly forms of the disease, though doctors said the surgery offered improved hopes for survival.

Pavarotti is most widely known for having been one of the Three Tenors - along with Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo - and for his interpretation of Nessun Dorma, which became the theme tune to the 1990 World Cup. [Quoted from SKY]

Famed opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti has died Thursday at the age of 71 after suffering from pancreatic cancer!!! R.I.P. Luciano Pavarotti.
"The great tenor, Luciano Pavarotti, died today at 5:00 a.m. at his home in Modena, the city of his birth," according to Terri Robson.

"The Maestro fought a long, tough battle against the pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life. In fitting with the approach that characterized his life and work, he remained positive until finally succumbing to the last stages of his illness."

According to Robson, his wife, Nicoletta; his daughters, Lorenza, Cristina, Giuliana and Alice; his sister, Gabriela; and other relatives and friends were at his side when he died. [Quoted from CNN]
