A £35,000 bridge is to be built over the Nujiang Riverafter a TV programme was made about the children's dangerous daily journey. Nearly 500 children, from Maji village in Fugong town, Yunnan province, are forced to cross a raging torrent on a wire cable stretched across the river to get to school each day. According to the Beijing News, they fasten themselves to the cable with a metal carabiner and a rope and slide across the 200 metre wide canyon. Pictures

Wow! That is amazing. Those kids have an adventure unlike most on the way to school. I am proud of them for taking that chance on themselves.
