Tiny pin-head sculpture of the Lloyd's of London landmark

A pin-head sized replica of the Lloyd's of London building has been sold to a former Lloyd's underwriter for £94,000 at auction. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Prince's Trust and the Dyslexia Association.

The model, an exact scale version of the architecturally renowned steel-and-glass structure that opened in 1986, took four months to create using white gold and platinum.

The work by micro-sculptor Willard Wigan is no larger than a granule of sugar and must be viewed through a microscope. Link
