The Opening Ceremony for the complete route of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, an S-shaped stayed-cable bridge was held on June 26, 2007. The overall length of the new bridge is about 36 km. This world’s longest transoceanic bridge will shorten the distance between Shanghai and Ningbo significantly by 120 km upon completion. It will go into service in August 2008. Link
