WHITE is the safest car colour in all driving conditions while black is the least safe, a study to be released today has found.

The Vehicle Colour Study shows there's a 12 per cent higher risk of being involved in a crash in a black car than a white one. Grey and silver are next in line, with an 11 and 10 per cent higher crash risk. The study also found that crashes were 7 per cent more likely to occur with blue, red and maroon cars than lighter colours such as cream, yellow and beige.
